San Antonio Spurs Try For Fifth Consecutive Victory Against The Philadelphia 76ers

The San Antonio Spurs are winners of four straight and look for a fifth consecutive victory when they take to the road against the Philadelphia 76ers. BetDSI Sportsbook has the San Antonio Spurs listed as favorites on the road in this contest against the Sixers.

In their last contest the San Antonio Spurs dispatched of the Atlanta Hawks on the road 98-93 outscoring them in three out of four quarters. The Spurs played good ball on both sides of the court shooting 47.7% from the floor, went 8 for 24 from behind the arc, and shined on defense with 8 steals and 4 blocked shit.

Veteran Tim Duncan did not play so Guard Tony Parker had to shine which he did leading the Spurs with 23 points going 10-22 from the field, and dished 12 assists on the night. Matt Bonner came off the bench and put in an uncharacteristic great performance with 17 points on 7-8 shooting, went 3 for 3 from downtown, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Friday the Sixers grabbed a win at home 108-101 against the visiting Toronto Raptors. Philadelphia shot very well from the floor at 51.6% but struggled from behind the three line hitting just 4 for 19. They were also out rebounded a little by -3 , but they more than made up for it with a +5 turn over margin.

Leading the Sixers in scoring was Jrue Holliday with 33 on 13 for 23 shooting to go with 5 rebounds, and a ridiculous 14 assists. He also played well on the defensive side of the court with 3 steals and a blocked shot. Thaddeus Young also played very good with 27 total points on efficient shooting 13 for 19 to go with a game high 14 rebounds. Spencer Hawes led the bench in scoring with 12 points going 5 for 8 from the floor with 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The San Antonio Spurs are back to their winning ways after a small slump and I just don’t see the Sixers keeping up with them in this match , even if at home. If they are to beat the Spurs they will need another huge day from Holliday and Thaddeus Young both along with some help from their bench. Lay the points and take the Spurs in tonights match-up.
