Tampa Bay Buccaneers Look To Continue Their Win Streak Against High Powered Falcons
An exciting match-up Sunday when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4) winners of their last four take on the high powered (9-1) Atlanta Falcons. The Buccaneers playing so well as of late have the live lines at BetDSI Sportsbook reflecting a very close game.
Putting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers away in a game has not been easy for teams this year. Last week they appeared to be on the verge of having their three game winning streak broke after Carolina QB Cam Newton threw a touchdown with a little over four minutes left.
Then came a Buccaneers Connor Barth field goal for the tie, and after forcing the Panthers to punt Bucs QB Josh Freeman would not be denied. On fire throwing 248 yards and three touchdowns on the day he would go on to lead his team 80 yards on seven plays in just 50 seconds without a single timeout. Freeman capped off the drive with a 24 yard touchdown strike to Vincent Jackson with 12 seconds remaining. On the next play he hit Jackson again on a two-point conversion on a short route to send it to overtime where they would go on to win.
The Atlanta Falcons last week overcame a career worst five interceptions by QB Matt Ryan to give the Arizona Cardinals their sixth straight loss. The Cardinals tough defense gave Ryan fits all day as he completed just 28 of 46 passes for 301 yards and no scores. RB Michael Turner didn’t find much success on the ground either with 15 carries for 46 yards, he did manage to get into the end zone once.
Atlanta’s defense came through in a big way against the Cardinals allowing just 2 out of 16 third down conversions and just 178 total yards. They did continue having difficulty shutting down the run as Arizona rushed for 137 yards. DE John Abraham had a big day with five tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
This is going to be a great matchup that could end up a close one. Almost too close to call , but I do feel the Atlanta Falcons fix their mistakes from last week and put up a win. Take the Atlanta Falcons over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
