The Bills Travel To Take On The Patriots In AFC East Match-up
The New England Patriots (5-3) are on a two game winning streak while the Buffalo Bills (3-5) are on a two game skid. The Patriots are 4-1 in their last five games while the Bills with one of the worst defenses in the league is 1-4 in their last five making New England a huge favorite at BetDSI Sportsbook.
New England had a bye week after their 45-7 destruction of the Rams in London England in week 8. QB Tom Brady led his team on touchdown drives on the Patriots first five possessions. Shredding the St. Louis defense with 23 completions for 304 yards and four touchdowns. The Patriots surpassed 350 yards of offense for the 17th consecutive game, breaking an the old record set by their opponents the Rams in 2000.
With their running game really moving for the first time in years it is making things easier on the Patriots. RB Stevan Ridley had 15 carries for 127 yards and one touchdown. This enabled the defense to focus on stopping the Rams passing attack making two sacks, two interceptions, and forcing a fumble. They only allowed St. Louis to convert 3 out of 10 times on third down.
The Buffalo Bills have been plagued by one of the worst defenses in the league. Absolutely unable to stop the run makes it appear any running back playing Buffalo could be in for a career day. In their latest defeat 21-9 at the hands of the Houston Texans. Running back Arian Foster ran 24 times for 111 yards and a touchdown on the Bills lousy defense.
Buffalo’s offense wasn’t any better as they were unable to get into the end zone. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick did not play terribly throwing 25 completions on 38 attempts for 239 yards but he failed to engineer any touchdown drives. Coach Chan Gailey seems to be turning away from the teams one strong point, their running attack. C.J. Spiller who has been electric so far this year when healthy had only six carries for 39 yards. RB Fred Jackson also only had six rushes for 21 yards.
The Bills were unable to cover even with being given ten points against the Texans last Sunday. They do not look to have a great chance of covering with eleven points handed to them on the road against the New England Patriots. Laying the juice is probably the safest wager here as eleven is a high spread to cover.
