The Kansas City Chiefs Try To Continue Their Highly Emotional Play When Traveling To Cleveland
Last weekend the Kansas City Chiefs snapped an eighth game losing streak beating Carolina 21-27 in an emotionally charged game for KC. While the Cleveland Browns beat the Raiders 20-17 for their second consecutive victory. Due to the Chiefs lackluster season and the Browns slow but steady improvements BetDSI Sportsbook lists Cleveland as a clear favorite at home against Kansas City.
Kansas City played like they haven’t played all year , with QB Brady Quinn playing possibly the best game of his NFL career. Quinn threw 19 completions on 23 attempts for 201 yards and two touchdowns. Jamaal Charles put in a solid performance rushing 27 times for 127 yards while Peyton Hillis didn’t get much yardage on the ground he did manage to get into the end zone for a score.
The Chiefs offense seemed to be the side of the ball that benefited most by the high emotions as the defense struggled against a desperate Carolina offense. Allowing the Panthers 385 yards, including 165 on the ground and three passing touchdowns by Cam Newton, they were far from lights out.
The Cleveland Browns are making improvements week by week and have now strung together two wins after their victory in Oakland last Sunday. Rookie Brandon Weeden may not be the QB of their future but he is improving regardless. Against the Raiders Weeden went 25/36 for a career high 364 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Rookie RB Trent Richardson ran 20 times for 72 yards and a trip to the end zone.
Betting Prediction :
As my readers probably know, I write very limited articles involving the Kansas City Chiefs , in fact this maybe my first one. Reason being is they are my favorite team and I could not stand to write an article where I simply state they are going to get whooped up on, or a partial article where I say they are going to destroy the opposition which they have almost no chance of.
So, basically I am writing this article because I genuinely feel the Chiefs have a great shot of not only covering the spread here but winning the game outright for a nice spread or money line play on KC. If they play with the emotion and fire they did last week they will roll the Cleveland Browns. They possess a defense that could give the Cleveland rookie QB Weeden troubles all day.
