UFC 152 is coming up this weekend and UFCContest.com is hosting a Handicapping Contest to make things interesting for you MMA fans. Players can come away with their share of the $2,000 prize pool plus the highly coveted bragging rights. To help you win and inject your friends with “Haterade,” I have provided below 3 Quick Picks to Use for the UFC 152 Handicapping Contest.
This is how the contest works: “Each participant makes a pick for each fight in the event, you choose the winner, the method of victory, the round of victory, and the minute of victory!”
Pick #1: Jon Jones vs Vitor Belfort
Vitor Belfort has all the right tools to beat Jon Jones. But Jones win percent, utter domination of his past opponents and the strength in his corner make me have to lean towards him to bag the win.
Winner: Jon Jones
Pick #2: Demetrious Johnson vs Joseph Benavidez
Joseph Benavidez is my pick to win as he is the faster, more aggressive fighter. He also has more KO and submission wins. I don’t see Johnson being able to sneak away with a decision win like he did in his last fight against Ian McCall.
Winner: Joseph Benavidez
Pick #3: Michael Bisping vs Brian Stann
I have to give this fight to Michael Bisping, and not just because he has more experience and more KO and submission wins. Bisping’s kickboxing style of fighting give him the slight advantage as he will be able to mix things up more than Stann. Brian’s boxing may arguably be better but I see Bisping scoring points with kicks and laying down damage with combinations.
Winner: Michael Bisping
