UFC 139: Shogun vs Henderson Underdog Betting Picks

ufc 139 shogun vs hendo bettingUFC 139 has a STACKED fight card; almost each matchup has either stars or well known fighters with a fan base. To make things even better BetDSI Sportsbook has put up MMA Betting Odds with underdogs who should be your betting favorites, meaning you can seriously bang the book on this fight card. Let’s take a look at the three underdogs you should be betting on:

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua -145 vs Dan “Hendo” Henderson +115

Shogun is the favorite even though it’s Hendo who’s on a 3 win fight streak. Hendo just got done cleaning up Fedor Emelianenko via TKO in July and Shogun KO’d Forrest Griffin in August. Both fights were over within the very first round. Hendo has something that will keep Rua on edge during the whole fight; one pinch KO power in his right hand. This will keep Rua from implementing too much close range attacks such as his usual clinches, knees and elbows.

I see Rua’s gamelan consisting of attacking long range with kicks and straight punches. He will also attempt takedowns but seeing how Hendo has better takedown defense and takedown accuracy according to FightMetric stats, he can turn the tables on Rua with his superior wrestling skills. Bet on Hendo to win via TKO via some groundNpound. BetDSI has Live In-Fight Betting, which lets you bet on every takedown, every submission and every KO while the fight is happening. Be sure to get some extra dough with that feature and bank on Hendo winning via KO in the first round.

Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva +120 vs Cung “The Human Highlight Reel” Le -150

Even though Wand is coming off a KO loss from Chris Leben that occurred in the first round and Le is coming off a highlight reel win over Scott Smith, I can’t see Le coming out on top against the KO artist in Wand. Silva is a head hunter who won’t give Cung too many chances to put a stop to the fight. Le has never faced an opponent like Silva, a man who can just plain walk through some of Le’s kicks.

I am predicting a 1st round KO by Silva on this one as well so don’t forget to use the Live In-Fight Betting feature at BetDSI if you want to put a twist on your betting experience.
