Here are the latest BetDSI odds on this fight:
Michael Bisping -180
Brian Stann +150
The Bisping vs Stann fight is the closest matched fight on the UFC 152 main card according to the gambling odds. This match features two big middleweights; two fighters who have dropped down from light heavyweight in order to increase their chances of nabbing some gold.
I agree with the MMA handicappers picking Bisping to win, and I agree with the MMA odds breakers placing the line close on this fight. Stann does have a good shot at stealing this win due to his power and strong jaw. I would give Brian more than a punchers chance and see betters laying money on him as an underdog bet.
Michael Bisping, ranked #4 on Sherdog’s Middleweight rankings, is the solid pick against #10 ranked Brian Stann. Bisping has had not only more fights, but harder ones. He also has more wins by KO and submission.
The say styles make fights, and Bisping’s style gives him a slight advantage. Bisping is a kick boxer who should be able to mix up the striking a bit better and wear down Stann with leg kicks. While Stann is more of a stand up boxer with good wrestling who should close the gap and use boxing and knees instead of risking Bisping’s long range attacks. If Stann plays it smart he should take advantage of Bisping’s leg kicks to set up a KO or take him down to score points and for some ground and pound.
UFC 152 Pick: I have to give Bisping the slight advantage on this one, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Stann decides to shock.
